Our Services

Adult ADHD, Autism or AuDHD Assessment
10b3077b-9609-4955-a0e6-b995f6c6faea_edited.jpg

Comprehensive assessments for adults aged 16 years and over, focusing on ADHD, Autism or AuDHD.

If you’ve been wondering about ADHD or Autism for some time, the first step doesn’t have to be a full assessment. You can begin with a conversation with a psychologist about your symptoms, concerns and experiences.

There is no obligation to proceed with an assessment. This initial conversation can provide the information you need to make an informed decision about whether an assessment is right for you.

How Assessments Work?   You pay in three separate steps.

01 Initial Consultation

$240 ($138.45 out of pocket with a Mental Health Treatment Plan)

Meet with the psychologist to discuss your concerns, symptoms and experiences and determine whether an assessment is appropriate for you. Following the consultation, your psychologist can provide a personalised assessment fee.

02 Assessment & Comprehensive Report

Assessments start from $1,200

The assessment is completed across 2–3 sessions and includes screening tools, questionnaires and a comprehensive diagnostic interview.

Assessments are available for:

  • Adult ADHD Assessment — aged 16+

  • Adult Autism Assessment — aged 16+

  • Adult AuDHD Assessment — aged 16+

Your psychologist will bring together the assessment results and provide a comprehensive written report, including the findings and diagnosis.

03 Feedback Session

$240 ($138.45 out of pocket with a Mental Health Treatment Plan)

Meet with your psychologist to discuss the assessment results, receive feedback on the report and explore recommendations and next steps.

My Philosophy

Like a mountain journey, life doesn’t always follow a straight or predictable path. There may be steep climbs, unexpected turns, moments when the way forward isn’t clear, and times when you simply need to pause and find your footing.  Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply not quite yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Psychological support is about creating a space to understand yourself, gain perspective, build on your strengths and find a way forward that feels right for you.

At Peaceful Mind Psychology, we believe every person’s journey is different.

Your path. Your pace. Your journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will discuss what has brought you to therapy, your goals, and how we can work together in a warm, non-judgmental environment.

Is this service suitable for me?

Many people seek psychology support when they are feeling overwhelmed, facing life changes, navigating relationship challenges, adjusting to new circumstances, or coping the transition to parenthood. You do not need a diagnosed mental health condition to benefit from speaking with a psychologist. If something is affecting your wellbeing, support may be helpful.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can make an appointment without a referral. However, if you wish to claim Medicare rebates, you will usually need a valid referral and Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

What are the fees and are rebates available?

Fees are payable at the time of your appointment. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you are eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Private health rebates may also apply.

How long do sessions last and how often should I come?

Individual sessions run for approximately 50 minutes. Frequency varies depending on your needs; some clients benefit from weekly support, while others prefer fortnightly or monthly check-ins.

Can I cancel or change my appointment?

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Appointments changed or cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed without attending, will incur a cancellation fee.  The cancellation fee for less than 48 hours notice is 50% of the scheduled fee.  Failure to attend is 100% of the scheduled fee.  This policy allows us to offer the appointment to another client whenever possible.

Is my information confidential?

Absolutely. Your privacy is paramount. All information shared is kept strictly confidential in accordance with APS ethical guidelines, with rare exceptions involving safety concerns which will be discussed with you.

What should I do in an emergency?

Our practice is not a crisis or emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. For urgent mental health support you can also contact Lifeline (13 11 14), Beyond Blue (1300 224 636), Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467), or PANDA (1300 726 306) for pregnancy and postnatal mental health support.
